Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Mathical (“we”, “us”) for using mathical.co. By creating an account or using Mathical, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

Who can use Mathical

You must be at least 13. If you're under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), a parent or guardian must agree to these terms, and they are responsible for any subscription. Keep your login private; you're responsible for activity on your account.

What Mathical does

Mathical turns worksheet PDFs into practice questions and uses AI to read questions, check answers, and give hints and feedback. AI can make mistakes, including reading a question or answer key wrong. Mathical is a study tool, not a replacement for your teacher, and we don't guarantee any grade or result. If something looks wrong, trust your teacher and your own working.

Subscription and payment

• Mathical is a monthly subscription, billed in advance through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, plus any taxes.
• It renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Subscription on the home page; you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
• Payments aren't refundable for partial months, except where the law requires a refund. If you think you were charged by mistake, email support@mathical.co.
• If a payment fails, we'll retry it for a while. If it can't be collected, your subscription ends.
• We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Monthly AI allowance

Each subscription includes a monthly AI allowance that covers regular studying. If you use it up, AI features (like reading new worksheets, hints and AI checks) pause until your next renewal date, which the home page shows. This keeps Mathical affordable for everyone.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload and write. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Mathical to you, including sending it to our AI provider. Only upload material you're allowed to use, such as worksheets from your own class. Don't upload other people's personal information.

Fair use

Please don't:

• use Mathical to cheat on tests or assessments where outside help isn't allowed;
• share your account, resell access, or use bots or scripts to use the service;
• try to break, overload or get around Mathical's security, limits or payments;
• upload anything illegal, harmful or that you don't have the right to share.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Our stuff

Mathical's software, design, name and the wizard cat are ours. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

Ending your account

You can stop using Mathical anytime, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@mathical.co. We may end or suspend accounts that break these terms, or stop offering Mathical with reasonable notice (with a pro-rated refund for any prepaid time if we shut down).

Disclaimers and liability

Mathical is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; if a change is meaningful, we'll tell you in advance in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: support@mathical.co.
